HEREDIA (GB) controlled the pace on the inside, came under a bit of pressure with a quarter mile remaining but moved clear again into the lane, drew away under flagging from the crop and hand urging midstretch and was ridden out to the wire. PUBLIC ASSEMBLY brushed with LIGURIA then WATCHTOWER in the beginning, took a stalking position between rivals in the two path, chased two then three wide on the far turn, moved into second at the sixteenth pole and finished willingly to secure the place honors over WATCHTOWER late. WATCHTOWER got bumped between rivals and crowded early, traveled in the two path near the back of the field, picked up stride while angling four wide around the far turn, produced a mild rally and missed second. HANG THE MOON stalked the speed from inside, followed behind HEREDIA (GB) to the top of the lane, lacked a bid when called upon and flattened in the late stages. MAHINA saved ground from off the pace, crept closer around the far turn, moved off the fence in the lane and improved position. MISSION OF JOY stalked three deep to the far turn, got bumped approaching the quarter pole while starting to launch a bid, could not sustain her momentum leaving the bend and flattened in the lane. LIGURIA brushed outer rival leaving the gate, was closest in pursuit from the two path through the early stages, flanked the leader briefly into the far turn, continued to give chased from the two path around the bend, bumped with MISSION OF JOY nearing the quarter pole and weakened. MUSICAL RHAPSODY (IRE) dropped back and tucked inside, trailed next to the fence to the quarter pole, steered out into the lane and could not make an impact.
