WESTERN AVENUE got bumped by inner rival leaving the gate, attended the pace five deep in the early going, challenged five then four deep around the bend, kicked clear in upper stretch and held safely. ADIOS NICANOR bumped WESTERN AVENUE at the start, climbed early and fell off the pace, exited the backstretch in the five path, went six wide into the lane, took aim at the winner entering the final furlong but lacked the needed late punch. THE BIG CHEESEOLA vied three deep between rivals up the backstretch and around the turn holding a slim lead, relinquished the lead to WESTERN AVENUE late on the bend, yielded to that rival in upper stretch and held third. SHADY APPEAL climbed a bit along the inside, trailed into the turn, waited behind rivals then swung five wide approaching the stretch, summoned a mild rally and rounded out the superfecta. ZOMBO BOMBO broke out and bumped, chased from inside then in the two path, bumped with outer rival at the three-sixteenths pole, moved out in the lane and lacked a rally. JOEY BRACKETS got bumped on both sides at the start, chased the speed battled up front outside a rival, took the turn two then three wide, bumped with ZOMBO BOMBO turning for home, moved out in upper stretch and failed to respond. NIJINSKY HALO sprinted to the front and angled inward then vied between rivals up the backstretch, continued to battle while getting bumped repeatedly from inside around the bend, chased two wide into the lane and weakened. GARRY JOHN bumped leaving the gate, fought for the lead inside several rivals in the early going, drifted out and bumped NIJINSKY HALO repeatedly on the turn, could not keep up entering the lane and tired. HONEYMOON SUITE challenged for command four deep up the backstretch, fought four deep between around the bend before yielding at the quarter pole, remained four wide to the stretch and tired.
