VELOCITY bobbled a bit leaving the gate, settled on the inside, remained on the fence to the far turn, shifted to the two path with a quarter mile remaining, rallied into contention inside the top pair at the eighth pole, dueled with THOUGHT PROCESS into deep stretch, forged ahead from that rival and held over LUSH LIPS (GB) in the closing moments. LUSH LIPS (GB) unhurried in the opening stages two wide leaving the chute, moved inside then came back to the two path around the first turn, traveled between runners in the middle stages, rounded the far turn two then three wide, tipped out into the lane, rallied into deep stretch but could not get by the winner. THOUGHT PROCESS stalked two wide outside a rival, was closest in pursuit up the backstretch and far turn, loomed two then three wide leaving the far turn, challenged. TAKE A BREATH (GB) antsy in the gate, broke a bit awkwardly and settled at the back on the inside, angled three wide past the quarter pole, tipped out further at the top of the stretch, came with a late run and earned minor award. WILL THEN tracked two wide out of range, asked with a quarter mile left to run, spun three wide into the stretch, lacked behind THOUGHT PROCESS midstretch and kept on once in the clear while getting edged for a minor placing in the closing moments. SLICK (IRE) traveled on the inside near the back, hugged the rail through the far turn, moved out and chased between runners into the final sixteenth but ran into traffic late. FIRENZE FLAVOR broke a step slow, raced three deep then outside a rival at the back of the pack, continued two wide on the far turn, tipped out at the top of the lane and failed to threaten. CASALU stepped to the front and moved inside, moved clear from STRIVER on the clubhouse turn, controlled the pace to the far turn, given her cue leaving the bend, challenged from outside entering the lane, relinquished the lead in upper stretch and weakened in the late stages. EDGE OF MALI (IRE) stalked the pace along the fence, coaxed along on the far turn before coming under a strong ride late on the bend, cut the corner into the stretch and weakened. RESOLVE raced outside a rival towards the rear, crept closer three deep on the backstretch, driven five wide into the stretch and came up empty. STRIVER broke out then showed early foot outside CASALU, drifted early first time through the stretch, lost contact with that rival while drifting wider around the first turn, dropped back in the middle stages, pulled up early on the far turn and walked off.
