Footnotes
LATER THAN PLANNED (IRE) was off slow to begin, was rank in hand on the inside early, adfvanced between on the backstretch, got boxed in at the five-sixteenths pole, tipped out and bid three deep turning for home, emerged clear in upper stretch and held safely under urging. BORN TO ROCK raced under a strong hold while two wide in pursuit on the first turn, moved out wider on the backstretch, went four wide into the far turn, cut to the inside then chased two wide into the lane, shifted out in upper stretch and rallied for second. CLASSICO stalked from inside, hand to pause behind WHOLE SHEBANG steadying approaching the half-mile pole, moved forward leaving the backstretch, ran into traffic late on the far turn and shifted out to the three path, finished willingly down the lane but got edged for second. DAY MAN unhurried in the beginning and moved to the two path, rushed up early on the backstretch to take command then cleared WHOLE SHEBANG and crossed over, met the bid from that rival and dueled along the fence through the far turn, fought inside a pair of rivals into the lane, yielded in upper stretch and weakened. BIGGIEBIGGIEBIGGIE showed early speed outside a rival then took a stalking position on the clubhouse turn, rounded the second bend three then four wide, drifted inward in upper stretch and flattened out. STERLING SEA rubbed the gate and broke in, pulled early well off the rail, fell back leaving the backstretch, went two to three wide on the second bend and weakened. WHOLE SHEBANG dueled from inside then cleared on the clubhouse turn, lost command early on the backstretch and was forced to check past the nine-sixteenths pole, re-bid from outside and dueled around the far turn, fought between rivals into the lane and tired.
