JALISCO dueled inside WAVE WITH ENVY to the eighth pole, edged clear outside the sixteenth pole and held safely over the runner-up. MR. PIPPINS forwardly placed outside rivals in the early going, chased in the three path through the turn, finished willingly in the final furlong and gained second. WAVE WITH ENVY took a short lead dueling outside JALISCO early, fought head to head through the turn, battled to midstretch and weakened late. CLOSING TIME got forced out and pinballed shortly after the start, stalked off the inside, moved to the rail early on the turn, eased out to the three path, moved out in the lane and kept on for a minor placing. PETRAKOS broke in and bumped, climbed early, went four wide around the turn and could not rally. RUMPUS IN PARADISE came out and bumped shortly after the start, tracked from inside, lost ground while patiently handled on the turn, came under a ride leaving the bend and weakened. DESERT KAT raced up close close between rivals, dropped back two then three wide on the turn and tired. CHASE N RYAN got bumped and crowded early, trailed well off the rail then passed a rival five wide into the turn, angled to the three path, steered back out five wide leaving the bend and proved no menace. TINA'S PRINCESS brushed with outer rival then got slammed from inside shortly after the start, chased from off the rail, raced two wide on the turn, angled out and came four wide into the lane and had little left for the stretch run. APOLINAR GRAYDAR was fractious in the gate, broke inward then came back out, steered to the inside, dropped far back on the turn, eased in the lane and walked off.
