Footnotes
SPEED GRAZY coaxed along early and rushed up into a tough spot along the rail entering the first turn and had to steady, settled into stride and stalked the pace to the far turn, saved ground around the bend, tipped two wide into the stretch, drew alongside WINDRIBBON outside the sixteenth pole and dug in late to prove best. WINDRIBBON fought for the lead into the clubhouse turn then pressed the pace from inside, roused past the half-mile pole, took over with three furlongs remaining, kicked clear a quarter mile out, showed the way into the final furlong, collared by SPEED GRAZY with a sixteenth left to run and yielded to the winner. SPIRITUAL ADVISOR raced up close outside the top pair, came under a ride still in the three path on the far turn, entered the lane in the four path and flattened in deep stretch. DRUIDIC dueled from outside into the first turn then inched ahead around the bend, set the pace under pressure up the backstretch, lost command at the three-eighths pole, chased the new leader three wide into the lane and had little left for the stretch run. ANITANEWMERCEDES was a bit keen stalking in hand from the two path, moved out four deep in the middle stages, kept wide to the stretch and had little left for the stretch run. NAUVOO stumbled shortly after the start, chased outside a pair of rivals around the clubhouse turn, dropped back past the half-mile pole, rounded the far turn two wide then along the inside, eased in the lane and walked off.
