Footnotes
LONESOME STEW away quickly to take the front then dueled inside JERRY'S SPIRIT, disposed of that rival at the five-sixteenths pole, opened up into the stretch and was ridden out to the wire. BARTHOLDY raced in range then started to climb early, drew closer after settling into stride, saved ground through the turn, asked right handed leaving the bend, switched to the left hand in upper stretch and whittle the gap late. HONDO CROUCH sat off the pace up the backstretch, raced three then two wide on the turn and gained third. MISCHELOF (CHI) lacked early speed, saved ground to the stretch and failed to menace. FIFTH STREET chased off the rail or outside a rival, took the turn three then four wide and weakened. JERRY'S SPIRIT dueled from outside, lost contact with the winner at the five-sixteenths pole, chased three wide turning for home and also weakened.
