GSTAAD (GB) broke a step slow from outside, settled outside a pair of rivals, advanced up the backstretch, moved into striking distance three then four wide on the far turn, bid outside the top pair in upper stretch and quickly took over at the eighth pole, drew clear midstretch and held safely over the runner-up under hand urging. STARK CONTRAST settled a bit off the rail then along the inside, moved into range leaving the backstretch, waited behind the leaders past the five-sixteenths pole, lacked room at the top of the lane, angled to the inside entering the final furlong, finished gamely but had to settle for second best. NORTH COAST (IRE) raced well off the pace on the inside, drew closer while angling three wide around the far turn, moved out further in the stretch and rallied for the show honors. STREET BEAST showed early speed inside a pair of rivals then ceded command prior to the first turn, tracked from inside, chased two then three wide on the far turn, bid from outside entering the lane, got bumped HEY NAY NAY (IRE) between rivals in upper stretch, made contact with that rival again midstretch then had the rider lose the crop and flattened to fourth. HEEERE'S JOHNNY broke a bit slow and inward, trailed on the inside, moved off the rail and passed a few rivals on the backstretch, went three then four wide around the far turn, tipped out at the top of the lane and produced a mild rally. TURF STAR broke in, traveled in mid-pack from the two path in the early stages, entered the far turn between runners, coaxed along in range around that bend, bumped with inner rival at the quarter pole, moved to the inside and weakened in the lane. ARDISIA (IRE) was off slow leaving the gate, raced outside a rival towards the rear, went two wide into the far turn then found the rail, tipped back out a bit into the lane, lacked room in upper stretch, kept trying once in the clear but failed to threaten. ARGOS tucked inside towards the back, raced inside a rival at the back into the far turn, saved ground to the lane, ran into traffic in upper stretch, stayed on the inside and summoned a mild rally. BOTTAS laid well off the pace three wide on the first turn, traveled four then three deep in the middle stages, kept off the rail through the far turn, came four wide into the stretch, lost his path at the sixteenth pole and could not regain momentum. HEY NAY NAY (IRE) vied three deep briefly then pressed the pace from outside keenly in hand, fought on even terms on the far turn, took a slim advantage at the quarter pole, drifted out and bumped STREET BEAST in upper stretch, made contact with that rival again midstretch and weakened. LET'S BE FRANK angled to the inside racing near the back, trailed up the backstretch, chased outside a rival into the far turn, found traffic in upper stretch and could not make an impact. THIRD BEER settled along the rail in mid-pack, crept closer leaving the backstretch, bumped with outer rival at the quarter pole, lacked room and steadied in upper stretch and could not rally after. GORDON PASS bumped early on the clubhouse turn, reserved in the between rivals in the two path, angled four wide on the far turn, got put in tight entering the lane and lacked a rally. OUTFIELDER bumped and vied between rivals briefly then took control approaching the clubhouse turn, set the pace under pressure up the backstretch, dueled around the far turn, lost command at the quarter pole, yielded at the top of the lane and folded.
