Footnotes
LAKE VICTORIA (IRE) coaxed along the rail and got put in a bit tight along the rail early, bumped and put in tight early on the clubhouse turn, settled inside off the pace, crept closer in the middle stages, eased out to the three path around the far turn while gaining ground, surged clear past the eighth pole and remained strong under a drive to the wire. MAY DAY READY settled in the two path, steadied behind troubled rivals and drifted out on the first turn, steered back inward, hustled closer on the backstretch, saved ground to the lane, tipped out in upper stretch, finished well through the lane to gain second but could not reach the winner. NITROGEN bumped leaving the gate, tucked inside off the pace, moved out and went between rivals on the backstretch, remained in hand in the two path on the far turn, given her cue at the top of the stretch, came with a late run and got up for third. FIERY LUCY (GB) got crowded between runners into the first turn then floated out early on the bend, moved to the inside on the backstretch, tipped out in the lane and rallied between rivals but got outkicked for third. KILWIN up close early outside the pacesetter then was closest in pursuit up the backstretch, took aim from the two path leaving the far turn, lost her path at the eighth pole and weakened in the furlong grounds. VIXEN sat off the pace three wide early, coaxed along into the far turn, moved out and came five wide into the lane and could not summon the needed rally. CORRETO bumped with NITROGEN at the start, stalked from inside, hugged the rail to the stretch and lacked a response when called upon. TOTALLY JUSTIFIED stalked two wide then shifted in and bumped inner rival early on the first turn, dropped back off the pace, was stalled when boxed in at the quarter pole, tipped out to the four path, bumped and ran into traffic in upper stretch and could not threaten after. THOUGHT PROCESS antsy in the gate, showed good early foot to take the front, cleared outer rival on the backstretch, set all the pace to the stretch, confronted by the winner at the eight pole, yielded shortly after and weakened. ANSHODA (IRE) off slow from outside, steered across trailing the field, ridden along while saving ground on the far turn, angled out into the lane and improved position. HEAVENS GATE (IRE) tracked two wide under coaxing early, rounded the far turn in the two then three path, got crowded in upper stretch and failed to rally after. SCYTHIAN pulled early and checked into the first turn then came out and bumped a rival early on the bend, traveled three then four deep on the backstretch, spun five wide into the lane, bumped in upper stretch and had little left for the drive. VIRGIN COLADA bothered between rivals early, got bumped and forced out on the first turn, raced off the rail or outside a rival on the backstretch toward the rear, roused three deep on the far turn and failed to get involved. ABIENTOT forwardly placed three deep, chased four wide into the lane and tired.
