MODUS BESTIA dueled for the lead along the inside, shook clear through the turn and held sway through the drive under steady urging. COMEDY TOWN attended pace in hand along the inside, shifted out leaving the turn to be clear, took dead aim on MODUS BESTIA once straightened for the drive, kicked on well but was unable to reach the winner. LAWLESS WORLD was forwardly placed along the inside, got through and continued on willingly to earn the minor award. RED FLAG was unhurried into stride, came under a ride with three furlongs to run, looped five wide through the turn and into the lane and was making up ground late. GHOST OF MIDNIGHT was hustled along between runners, angled out to find room on the turn bumping TEJON PASS as he worked his way six wide, finished with a belated improvement but failed to seriously threaten. SIR ROCKET was crowded early and shuffled back a bit, tucked in to save ground, got through and made a mild advance. WAYNE THE BRAIN was hustled along saving ground in mid pack and went evenly. BOSTONTONIAN was away in good order disputed the pace outside through the turn and tired. MIRACLE MARK was allowed to settle four deep, was bumped and steadied when TEJON PASS was forced out midway through the turn, and failed to threaten thereafter. TEJON PASS hustled along between rivals, was bumped into the turn, quickly leveled back into stride, was jostled and steadied when GHOST OF MIDNIGHT came out near the five-sixteenths pole and came up empty. THIRTY TWO CHUNK contended off of the inside through the turn, but came up empty between rivals and faded. GRUBAUER chased four wide for a half and dropped out. TIGER IN MY TANK was crowded early, settled between horses, but was through before going a half.
