Footnotes
TISQUANTUM unhurried from outside then angled over to the rail first time through the stretch, drew closer along the rail then two wide on the far turn, rallied between rivals into the final furlong, took over midstretch and maintained a short lead over CANADA GATE to the line. CANADA GATE tracked two wide out of range, angled out on the far turn and came four wide into the stretch, bid while bumping inner rival at the eighth pole, fought outside the winner in deep stretch and could not get by. INVIGORATED settled off the pace in the two path, asked three wide leaving the far turn, moved out in the lane and finished well to gain third. BARELY FUNTIONAL traveled two wide near the back, remained a bit off the rail to the stretch, moved out in the lane and finished willingly for a minor award. WE CAN saved ground well off the pace, angled out and roused in upper stretch, altered in at the eighth pole and lacked the needed late kick in deep stretch. LAHAINA FLAVOR raced outside rivals then two wide off the pace, found the rail on the backstretch, tipped out in upper stretch and ran into mild traffic late. JEWELED SHILLELAGH vied outside rivals then dueled from outside first time through the stretch, kept the pressure on the leader to the far turn, took over at the five-sixteenths pole, put inner rival away in upper stretch but was immediately challenged from outside, lost command midstretch and flattened out late. KING APOLLO stalked in the two path around the first turn, chased three wide into the lane, bid between but got bumped at the eighth pole and weakened in the late stages. RIMPROTECTOR unhurried in the begging and moved inside, ridden along trailing from the rail on the far turn and could not make an impact down the stretch. STAMP MY PASSPORT brushed shortly after the start, stalked along the rail, pushed on through the far turn, asked left handed into the lane, found traffic in upper stretch and weakened in the furlong grounds. WENDELSSOHN traveled outside a rival at the back then trailed into the first turn, chased outside a rival up the backstretch, driven two wide into the lane and was never a factor. NO SECRET brushed with outer rival in the chute, went up to take control while under pressure from outer rival, headed into the far turn, lost command at the five-sixteenths pole, fought to the eighth pole and gave way.
