Footnotes
MORE THAN LOOKS settled at the tail of the field, came under a ride with three furlongs to run, worked his way forward between rivals on the final turn, angled out five wide into the stretch, dug in under left handed urging and reeled in the leaders in the final strides. JOHANNES bumped with PORTA FORTUNA (IRE) early, leveled into stride between rivals soon after, ranged into striking distance through the second turn, came four wide to make a bold bid, kicked on gamely between foes but was unable to resist the winner. NOTABLE SPEECH (GB) was covered up between horses, wheeled out leaving the quarter pole, quickened once straightened in the lane but wasn't quite good enough. TEN HAPPY ROSE (JPN) chased three wide, took over entering the stretch, opened clear a furlong out, but weakened slightly during the drive and gave way. GEOGLYPH (JPN) attended the pace along the inside, shifted out and around a tiring rival entering the stretch, dropped back to the rail but flattened in the final sixteenth. CARL SPACKLER (IRE) was close up three wide, came four wide but faltered between runners and faded. CHILI FLAG (FR) was unhurried into stride along the inside, angled out and finished with a belated improvement. PORTA FORTUNA (IRE) bumped early with JOHANNES, settled toward the inside, angled out leaving the second turn but lacked a response. GOLIAD opened clear to dictate terms, was collared entering the stretch and gave way readily once headed. WIN FOR THE MONEY was hustled along three wide to the second turn and dropped out.
