Footnotes
FULL SERRANO (ARG) prominent early to the outside of the pacesetter, pressed from outside, took over past the quarter pole, put T O SAINT DENIS (JPN) away in upper stretch and remained clear under left then right handed urging to the wire. POST TIME unhurried in the opening stages, raced in the two path then between rivals at the back, tipped four wide past the quarter pole, rallied determinedly in the stretch but had to settle for second best. DOMESTIC PRODUCT settled in the two path, chased three deep with three furlongs left to run, angled out and came five wide into the stretch, then produced a mild rally to gain third. TUMBARUMBA forwardly placed three deep, came under a ride while continuing three wide on the far turn, got floated into MUTH past the sixteenth pole and flattened. KATONAH laid off the pace on the inside, coaxed along up the backstretch while moving off the fence, made progress three, four then five wide on the far turn, found traffic in upper stretch, tipped out into the clear and kept on to the wire. SKIPPYLONGSTOCKING away quickly from outside, chased in the five path approaching the clubhouse turn, angled in a few lanes around the bend, traveled outside a pair of rivals leaving the backstretch, entered the lane in the two path and failed to find the needed response when called upon. MUTH stalked the speed four deep, roused while still fanned four wide on the far turn, chased within range to midstretch, got bumped by inner rival past the sixteenth pole and weakened. SEIZE THE GREY bumped by inner rival on the first turn, stalked between then outside a rival, chased between foes leaving the backstretch, angled in then back out on the far turn and could not rally. T O SAINT DENIS (JPN) took control early inside a trio of rivals, inched ahead past the half-mile pole, took pressure again on the far turn, lost command past the quarter pole, yielded in upper stretch and weakened. CAGLIOSTRO raced three deep at the rear on the clubhouse turn, remained off the rail to the stretch and failed to menace. MUFASA (CHI) was a bit rank chasing off the rail on the first turn, lost his path past the five-sixteenths pole and weakened down the lane. THREE TECHNIQUE angled to the inside racing at the back, tipped two wide and went between rivals on the far turn and never got involved. SAUDI CROWN drifted out and bumped on the first turn, chased from inside, got put in a bit tight at the three-eighths pole, dropped back around the bend, eased in the lane and walked off.
