Footnotes
THORPEDO ANNA broke sharply, tucked in and dictated terms along the rail, disposed of RAGING SEA leaving the second turn, opened clear at will and held safely. RAGING SEA shadowed THORPEDO ANNA to her outside, was unable to go on with that one entering the stretch, but continued on well to prove the best of the rest. CANDIED was rank briefly into the first turn, quickly leveled into stride and attended the pace in hand, shifted out leaving the quarter pole brushing HONOR D LADY slightly, found a clear pace once straightened for the drive but lacked the needed late response. ALICE VERITE (JPN) came away a step slow, moved up between rivals, settled back on the backstretch, angled out leaving the second turn and finished with a belated improvement. SUGAR FISH saved ground to little avail. CHE EVASORA (ARG) was unhurried into stride, settled at the tail of the field and was never a factor. HONOR D LADY chased three wide, was brushed when CANDIED came out some leaving the second turn, came up empty thereafter and retreated.
