Footnotes
FINAL EDITION (IRE) unhurried in the early going and steered to the inside, went outside a rival on the backstretch, angled out to the four path on the far turn, chased within striking distance with a furlong remaining, closed in on the leader in deep stretch and drove past nearing the wire. KOKOSAN tracked from inside out of range early, closed in around the clubhouse turn, drew alongside the leader briefly into the backstretch then took a stalking position once more, followed in the two path around the far turn, bid three wide into the lane, put a head in front at the eighth pole, put LEGAL HEIR away midstretch, led into the final strides but got run down by the winner. LEGAL HEIR sprinted clear and moved inside, opened up keenly on the front end first time in the stretch, eased over to the two path on the far turn, took pressure from KOKOSAN at the top of the lane, lost command at the eighth pole, yielded to the top pair and managed to save third. VINO AMANTE shied from the rail a bit leaving the chute, saved ground from off the pace, coaxed along up the backstretch, moved out at the sixteenth pole and missed third. JOE'S CANDY trailed on the inside to the far turn, tipped two wide under a ride around the bend, tried to split foes but got put in tight briefly in upper stretch, then kept on once in the clear and closed the gap late. ROSTOVSKY raced off the pace on the inside, gained while tipping three wide on the far turn but flattened out in the stretch.
