Footnotes
J B STRIKES BACK dueled from outside, inched ahead with three furlongs remaining, cleared past the quarter pole and widened to the wire. DEMOTIVATE brushed leaving the gate, tracked a bit off the rail, drew closer while moving out on the backstretch, went four wide into the far turn, angled down to the two path then chased three wide into the lane and rallied for second. SMOKEM EZ fought head to head inside J B STRIKES BACK through the early going, came under a ride to keep pace with the winner at the five-sixteenths pole, chased past the quarter pole, weakened in the drive and lost third. TRIPLE PASS stalked the dueling pace along the rail, crept closer in the middle stages, ridden along on the far turn, exited the bend a bit off the rail and failed to threaten. SALTWATER COWBOY brushed with inner rival at the start, chased in the three path, remained off the rail to the far turn, chased two to three wide to the stretch and weakened.
