Footnotes
RUSSELLS HUSTLE got clipped from behind early, was closest in pursuit through the early stages, bid from outside at the five-sixteenths pole, took over in upper stretch, put away inner rival in the final furlong and inched away. INVESTALOT grabbed the early lead from inside, met the bid from RUSSELLS HUSTLE at the five-sixteenths pole, resisted to the top of the lane, lost command in upper stretch, could not stay on with the winner in the furlong grounds but was able to hold second. NASHOBA'S JOY stalked the pace from inside, moved out a bit on the backstretch, angled four wide around the far turn, finished well while drifting in late and gained third. SIZE DOES MATTER bumped leaving the gate, sat off the pace on the inside, had to wait in traffic on the far turn, tipped two wide into the lane and kept on to round out the superfecta. MCGREGOR LAKE got bothered between rivals racing close up, settled along the inside off the pace, moved into range on the backstretch, tipped two wide around the far turn but weakened in the lane. BEAR HUNT unhurried in the beginning three deep, asked three to four wide on the far turn and flattened out in the stretch. DURAN steered to the inside racing at the rear, angled out to the four path on the far turn and was never a factor. ANTIBES bumped leaving the gate, clipped rival from behind early, pulled in the two path, angled to the rail on the far turn and failed to menace. NEW YORK DREAMS (GB) tracked from the two path, drew closer in the middle stages, lost ground three wide on the far turn, then tired and was eased to the wire.
