Footnotes
MISS WILL stalked the leader from inside then switched off the rail quickly, moved up to apply light pressure on the backstretch, drew on even terms at the quarter pole, took over leaving the far turn, kicked clear in upper stretch and kept rivals on both sides at bay in deep stretch. BENSTER was off a bit slow to begin, tucked inside at the back, eased over to the two path then found the rail again on the clubhouse turn, drew closer in the middle stages, continued on the inside through the far turn, steered out a bit into the lane, moved inside the leader in the final sixteenth and finished willingly to edge G'ORO for second. G'ORO raced in range four deep early, inched closer outside the top pair on the backstretch, remained three wide through the far turn, took aim at the winner in the final furlong, could not summon the needed late kick and got outfinished for the place honors. BREEZY BLUE took control quickly and moved inside, pressured by MISS WILL in the middle stages, tried to kick away from that rival early on the far turn but failed to do so, headed with a quarter mile remaining, relinquished the lead shortly after, yielded in upper stretch but stayed on well to remain close to the wire. LITA WAY broke a step slow, was reserved early outside a rival on the clubhouse turn, chased three deep into the far turn, got floated out to the five path past the quarter pole, kept trying down the lane and whittle the gap late. TOM'S STAR stalked three deep into the first turn, raced keenly between runners when rated around the first turn, dropped back a bit and moved into the two path around the bend, traveled between foes leaving the backstretch, eased out to the four path late on the far turn and weakened down the lane.
