BAG'S GOLD pressed the pace three deep, put a head in front past the five-sixteenths pole, shook free at the top of the lane and held safely under right handed urging and steady handling. EL DIABLO ROJO chased widest outside a rival off the pace, spun five wide into the lane, finished well through the final furlong but had to settle for second best. GRAZEN SUN bumped outer rival leaving the gate, chased two wide into the turn, crept closer around the bend, angled four wide turning for home and lacked the needed late kick in deep stretch. STORMY SAMURAI fractious in the gate, backed out and assessed by the vet and reloaded, shifted out at the start, went up to vie for the lead inside a pair of rivals, lost command with three furlongs remaining, fought along the rail to the top of the lane, yielded in upper stretch and weakened in the furlong grounds. SOUL OF MIDNIGHT coaxed along off the inside chasing out of range, climbed early on the turn, exited the bend four to five wide and failed to threaten. RASSLER took a bump from inside leaving the gate, raced in range outside a pair of rivals into the turn, chased three wide around the bend and lacked a rally. PLAYING HARDBALL got bumped into outer rival at the start, dropped back under asking early, trailed along the rail around the bend and was never a factor. SUNRISE JOURNEY vied for the lead from between rivals, took a narrow lead at the three-eighths pole, lost command past the five-sixteenths marker, yielded at the top of the lane and faded. SUPERMAN SHAQ chased from inside, lost ground on the turn, raced a bit off the rail into the lane and weakened.
