Footnotes
TRIPLE DIAMONDS got bumped into outer rival at the start, stalked outside rivals then two wide into the turn, challenged from outside past the five-sixteenths pole, hounded CULLEN J through the drive, got floated out in the final furlong, then dug in late and edged the runner-up at the wire. CULLEN J broke super and crossed over, led along the inside to the turn, pressured by TRIPLE DIAMONDS at the five-sixteenths pole, maintained command to the stretch, drifted while keeping TRIPLE DIAMONDS at bay in the final furlong but was overtaken at the wire. BIG NOTION broke a step slow, sat off the pace on the inside, moved out in the lane and bested the rest. FIX IT QUICK trailed from the fence into the turn, worked on through the bend, offered a mild response and rounded out the superfecta. HORNSBY got bumped leaving the gate, coaxed along outside rivals in the early going, navigated the turn three then two wide and failed to rally. BRAHMS MENDELSSOHN hustled from the gate, ran up on the heels of the leader and had to steady from the half-mile pole to the seven-sixteenths, hugged the rail to the stretch and weakened in the drive. SOGNO DI VINO bumped leaving the gate, raced outside a rival at the back, chased three deep around the bend and failed to menace. TEN FIGURES broke out and bumped rival, coaxed along out of range early off the rail then between rivals, got shuffled back past the three-eighths pole, found traffic late on the turn, angled in then back out in upper stretch and was never a factor. RUN ABBOUDY RUN raced up close then steadied between rivals early, dropped back around the bend and had little left for the stretch.
