ANDTHEOMOFTHEBRAVE away quickly from inside to take the lead then dueled with MAKE IT A LARGE up the backstretch, inched ahead at the three-eighths pole, shook free from outer rival into the lane and remained clear under flagging from the crop and steady handling. DESERT ROCKET climbed along early and steered to the inside, remained on the fence through the turn, tipped out at the top of the stretch, finished well in the late stages and gained second. JUST A GRAZE stalked the top pair from inside, hugged the rail to the stretch and finished evenly late. SIR ROCKET shifted in and bumped rival in the beginning, settled outside, ran three wide around the bend, moved out in the lane and improved position. MISS JO'S CURLIN got bumped into inner rival at the start, raced up close outside rivals then two wide into the turn, tossed her head early on the bend, spun three wide into the stretch, shifted in and bumped rival late and weakened. THE SCENT broke well, got brushed by MAKE IT A LARGE early, dropped back off the pace, trailed two wide then along the inside on the turn, angled out midstretch, got brushed by MISS JO'S CURLIN late and could not threaten. MAKE IT A LARGE broke a step slow, brushed THE SCENT while rushing up to the front, dueled outside the winner up the backstretch, kept the pressure on through the turn, lost touch with that rival into the lane and weakened in the drive. BIG GAIN brushed shortly after the start, stalked off the rail, lost ground in the two path on the turn and faded in the lane.
