Footnotes
SOUTHERN SLANG set the pace with rivals on both sides then off the rail inside CONSTANT CONFLICT up the backstretch, cleared that rival on the turn, moved off the fence in upper stretch, remained clear into the final fifty yards and held on over the late challenge from TEQUILA TALKIN at the wire. TEQUILA TALKIN bothered by inner rival at the start, stalked outside rivals into the turn, ran three then four wide around the bend, close in on the leader entering the final sixteenth, came with a late bid and missed. CONSTANT CONFLICT pressed the pace from outside, could not keep up with the leader on the turn and chase two then three wide around the bend, stayed within striking range through the lane and finished willingly for third. RED ON SUNDAY tracked along the rail inside rivals into the turn, drifted out a bit and brushed MISCHIEVOUS DYLAN at the three-eighths pole, traveled two wide to the stretch, moved out in the lane and kept on for a minor award. THE BIG CHEESEOLA broke well, raced up close to the inside of the pacesetter up the backstretch, chased along the fence to the stretch and weakened in the late stages. OCASEK trailed on the inside into the turn, angled three wide leaving the bend, moved out further in the drive and failed to menace. PICKING IT UP broke out, chased three deep into the turn, raced four wide turning for home and weakened. MISCHIEVOUS DYLAN chased between rivals into the turn, got bumped by RED ON SUNDAY at the three-eighths pole, dropped back to last around the turn and failed to be a factor.
