Footnotes
STEP IT OUT (IRE) sprinted to the front and found the rail once in the clear, took pressure from outside early on the backstretch, maintained a short lead to the far turn, shook free approaching the quarter pole, asked right handed at the eighth pole, switched to the left hand midstretch and held well to the wire. RICH OF JOY broke well and took a stalking position along the inside, crept closer on the far turn, tipped two wide into the lane, loomed from outside through the final furlong but could not summon the needed late kick. DANGEROUS AFFAIR stalked the speed in the two path outside a rival, tipped three wide at the quarter pole, drifted in a bit at the top of the lane and finished evenly late to secure third. NAKOTA (IRE) tracked the pacesetter from inside, raced out of range in the middle stages, saved ground to the stretch, kept trying down the lane but needed to find more late. FIRE BAN got crowded between rivals early, settled along the rail after, waited behind a rival through the far turn, roused at the three-sixteenths pole, ran into brief traffic shortly after, gained a clear path moving off the fence and summoned a mild rally. GOD'S FAVOR bumped with outer rival at the start, traveled along the fence near the back, coaxed along on the far turn, tipped two wide at the quarter pole, put to left handed urging and moved out in upper stretch, chased between foes into the final sixteenth and gained ground late. BLUE FASHION stalked three deep into the first turn, dropped off the pace and moved into the two path, roused at the quarter pole, angled out upper stretch and could not rally. HAPPYASACLAM (IRE) raced outside a rival towards the rear, chased between foes on the far turn, spun three wide into the lane, steered out in the stretch and was never a factor. QUEEN BERKELEY moved inside trailing early, saved ground through the far turn as well, angled out into the stretch, altered out from behind rivals at the eighth pole and proved no menace. LAST ELIZABETHAN stalked four wide around the clubhouse turn, raced outside a rival out of range on the backstretch, remained off the rail and entered the stretch three to four wide, then weakened down the lane. MORGAN'S BLUFF reserved on the inside then moved over to the two path on the first turn, continued two wide into the far turn, angled out to the four path around the bend, tipped out at the top of the stretch and never got involved. CRIMSON SONATA bumped with inner rival in the beginning, became rank when rated early and around the clubhouse turn, moved up to press the pace early on the backstretch, stayed alongside to the five-sixteenths pole, failed to keep up approaching the quarter pole, got bothered in upper stretch and tired in the furlong grounds.
