ZIO JO settled inside, crept closer under coaxing in the middle stages, moved into range on the far turn, challenged EL POTENTE from inside past the eighth pole, dug in gamely and edged the runner-up in the closing moments. EL POTENTE grabbed the early lead from the rail position, set all the pace on the inside to the stretch, came off the fence at the top of the lane, met the bid from ZIO JO past the eighth pole, dueled into deep stretch and yielded grudgingly. OLD PAL traveled on the inside at the back, lacked room behind a rival from the quarter pole to the eighth pole where he finally gained an opening, finished full of run late and gained third. MUBTADAA tracked two wide out of range, gained ground up the backstretch, chased three deep at the quarter pole and finished evenly late. IRISH PROPHET raced on the inside towards the rear, drew closer saving ground on the second bend, came off the rail in upper stretch and lacked a rally. LORD BULLINGDON settled in the two path near the back, angled out in upper stretch and failed to threaten. MAS RAPIDO (GB) traveled in the two path near the back, drew closer between rivals on the far turn then three wide at the quarter pole but could not rally when needed. PACKS A WAHLOP laid well off the pace in the two path, moved out three wide on the backstretch, chased four deep leaving the far turn and failed to menace. STORM THE COURT raced up close in the two path to the far turn, lost ground between rivals around that bend and faded out of contention.
