BULLARD trailed under coaxing up the backstretch racing off the rail, angled into two path quickly on the turn, tipped out near the five-sixteenths pole, took aim three wide into the stretch, asked with the left hand and reeled in the leader in upper stretch, put a head in front at the eighth pole, kicked clear shortly after, ridden out into the final fifty yards and received some pats on the neck late for a job well done. MADAKET ROAD raced in range from outside in the early going, advanced four then three wide on the turn, was closest in pursuit of the leader leaving the bend, moved inward in upper stretch, finished willingly in the final furlong but was no match for the winner. MCKINZIE STREET stalked briefly then went up to vied for the lead between rivals, inched with three furlongs remaining, cleared at the five-sixteenths pole and moved inside, came out under left handed urging in upper stretch, relinquished the lead at the eighth pole and flattened to third. MAXIMUS away quickest to clear the field and crossed over, vied inside a pair of rivals up the backstretch, failed to keep up with MCKINZIE STREET at the five-sixteenths pole, started to weaken around the turn and tired in the stretch run. KALEA BAY stalked briefly then fought for the lead three deep up the backstretch, kept the pressure on into the turn, could not match strides with the leader around the bend, had little left for the stretch run and was eased to the wire.
