FREYA showed the way under pressure from MARIA TALLCHIEF to the outside, maintained a short lead over that rival through the turn, drew clear into the stretch, remained clear into the final fifty yards and lasted over to the late run from the runner-up. MISO PHANSY stalked from inside, angled out into the lane, rallied late and could not get by the winner. MARIA TALLCHIEF pressed the pace from outside while fighting the rider a bit up the backstretch, stayed alongside FREYA through the turn, lost touch with that rival into the lane and weakened in the furlong grounds. FOREST DAZZLE was a bit green early between rivals, chased two wide then moved inside on the turn, had to put the brakes on behind a rival at the quarter pole, cut the corner into the lane and could not rally. MAGA KAI traveled two wide at he back, tipped three wide into the lane and failed to menace. Z'S WARDROBE raced inside MAGA KAI at the rear, saved ground then tipped two wide approaching the stretch and was never a factor. ONLY AFTER MIDNITE stalked the top pair outside a rival, chased two wide then moved inside on the turn, tipped back nearing the stretch and faded. SCROLL UP veered into the rail at the start and unseated the rider, ran loose in the infield until the conclusion of the race where she was caught by an outrider on foot and walked off the track. THERE WAS A STEWARDS' INQUIRY REGARDING THE START OF SCROLL UP AND RULED THAT SHE CAUSED HER OWN PROBLEMS LEAVING THE GATE AND IS CONSIDERED A STARTER.
