NEW ROME showed the way along the inside, drew clear into the far turn, came under a drive with a large advantage in upper stretch and held sway safely. EXPATRIATE stalked along the inside, claimed place from an outer pair nearing the lane and ran on to be second best. QUIETLY pursued from midpack along the inside, then in the three path around the far turn, swung out to the seven to eight path into upper stretch, ran on to bid for show while drifting outwardly leaving the furlong grounds, gained that position and was best of the rest. HAY STACK pursued from midpack in the three to four path, chased drifting to the five path in upper stretch, bid for show leaving the furlong grounds but got outkicked and held fourth. HUMBLED rated at the rear in the three path, shifted out to the six path and between horses in upper stretch and moved up. MISSY BEE pursued from midpack in the two path and failed to menace between horses. EL JOURY tracked two wide and between horses, chased around the far turn and gave way. WINNING STREEP stalked three wide and tired. BIRKIN GIRL laid off of the pace three wide, then in the four path around the far turn before fanning to the eight path into upper stretch and failed to factor. CALL ME TONI broke a step slow, raced off of the pace along the inside, moved out to the six to seven path and between horses in upper stretch and made little impact. MEG'S A STAR broke a step slow and took up as the rider took a strong hold at the start, raced near the rear two wide and between horses and never got involved. SWOONATRA pressed outside of the eventual winner, but gave way into the far turn and faded between horses entering the lane.
