PROMISSIONE tracked four wide, gained three deep around the far turn to bid outside of the leader at the quarter pole, led into the lane and drove clear. STRATEGIST tugged forward two wide and between horses to reach the front entering the backstretch, led as an outer rival applied pressure leaving the five furlong pole, disposed of that one as a wider rival challenged at teh quarter pole, but offered little resistance that one nearing the lane and proved second best. GROUND SHAKER brushed with an inner foe at the start, tracked while tucking to the two path into the backstretch, chased along the inside around the far turn, moved out to the four path turning for home and stayed on to hold show from an outer foe. FALCON QUEST pursued from midpack five to four wide, chased while getting floated to the five path turning for home and stayed on. CLOCKING led along the inside early on before ceding the front to an outer puller entering the backstretch, switched outside before moving to press passing the five furlong pole, sustained pressure around the far turn, but yielded as an outer rival bid at the quarter pole and caved through the lane. MR. CHUCK brushed with an outer foe at the start, raced off of the pace along the inside and tired. OLD TRACE broke a step slow, trailed in the three path into the backstretch, advanced between horses at the five furlong pole, but flattened out without reaching contention turning for home and tired. BEECHMONT was fractious in the starting gate necessitating reloading, stalked three deep, but gave way at the seven sixteenths pole and weakened between horses around the far turn. KEVIN'S STRIKE brushed with rivals on both sides at the start, lacked speed in the four path, retreated to trail at the five furlong pole and was outrun thereafter.
