FOR THREE-YEAR-OLDS . Free nomination, $500 to pass the entry box and $500 additional to start. Supplementary nominations may be made at time of entry by payment of $2,000 (includes entry and starting fees). $150,000 Guaranteed plus an additional $150,000 KTDF for KTDF eligible horses. After payment of 1% to all owners of horses finishing sixth through last, 62% of the remaining purse shall be paid to the owner of the winner, 20% to second, 10% to third, 5% to fourth and 3% to fifth Weight: 122 lbs. NonW inners of a graded sweepstakes at a mile or over in 2025 allowed 2, lbs. a sweepstakes at a mile or over since March 9, 4 lbs. Starters to be named through the entry box by the usual time of closing. The maximum number of starters for the Ellis Park Derr by will be limited to twelve (12) starters. If more than 12 pass the entry box preference to start will be given to graded stakes winners (in order I-II-III) then those horses having accumulated the highest lifetime earnings. A trophy will be presented to the winning owner. Nominations closed on July 26th, with 28 nominations and 1 supplement.

BIG TRUZZ vied early on before ceding the front ton an outer rival nearing the backstretch, re-engaged outside of that one passing the three quarter pole, pressed down the backstretch, bid before forging an advantage passing the five sixteenths marker, kicked away entering the lane and drew off under a drive with good energy. JIMMY'S DAILYS steadied behind rivals in the two path entering the backstretch, moved out to the three to four path around the far turn and ran on to reach place in the shadow of the wire. ADMIRAL DENNIS raced off of the pace, moved forward to track four to three wide into the backstretch, was roused within striking range around the far turn, claimed place while proving no match for the leader entering the lane but lost that position to an outer bidder at the wire. BIG BOAT crossed over to the inside while leading into the backstretch, felt outer pressure from the eventual winner shortly after, got headed by that bidder at the five sixteenths pole, proved no match nearing the lane and faded. MASTER CONTROLLER was taken back to race off of the pace early on, steadied to the rear in the three to four path into the backstretch, pursued in the four to five path around the far turn and tired. SINISTER SMILE stalked along the inside, chased around the far turn and weakened.
