Footnotes
ELEGANT TRIP tracked along the inside, slipped through to bid inside of the leader at the five sixteenths pole, kicked clear in upper stretch, drifted out as an outer foe sustained a bid in the final sixteenth and held sway. WRITE OFF JERRY pursued from midpack near the two path, tipped out four wide into the far turn, ranged up to bid at the five sixteenths pole, chased an inner clearing co-bidder in upper stretch, kept on to close in once again and sustain his challenge in the late stages but needed more. FORT THOMAS trailed along the inside, patiently bided time at the rear turning for home, moved two wide and between horses into the lane, tipped inwardly to run on and claim show leaving the furlong grounds, but failed to threaten the top pair. KID CAIRO laid off of the pace along the inside, shifted out three wide and between horses nearing the lane and stayed on mildly among foes. AZOI was off a bit awkwardly and broke a step slow, laid off of the pace two wide, chased in the three path around the far turn, floated four wide nearing the lane and failed to menace. TICKLED QUIST stalked the clearing leader around the first turn, bid in the three path along with rivals on both sides at the five sixteenths pole, got outkicked turning for home and faded. BALTIMORE HEART opened up a clear advantage in the two path around the first turn, but was collared between bidders passing the five sixteenths marker and stopped.
