Footnotes
BOB'S CHANNEL settled back to be the early trailer, took towards the outside at the quarter to surge past the competition to take the lead at the eighth, held firm through the finish. MUSICAL BAND took a slight hold shortly after the start to race off the pace, angled out at the three sixteenths to follow BOB'S CHANNEL down the stretch but was held at bay. GLOBAL HONOR was pinched back at the start, raced off the pace four wide, gained position seven wide through the far turn, picked off rivals down the stretch but needed more. TEMPLE OF PEACE was steadied at the start, raced off the pace between foes, closed some ground in the upper stretch, looked to split foes at the eighth but was blocked off, tipped out to improve position in the final few strides. VICTORY PRINCE was bumped at the start, moved up to track the pace four wide, launched a bid in the far turn to take command at the five sixteenths and save some ground before entering the stretch, gave way at the furlong marker. LIGHTNING TWIRL was bumped at the start, rushed up to take command along the inside before the first turn, conceded the lead after the first turn to stalk the pace down the backstretch, was asked for a late rally but came up empty. METAIRIE opted to race in the middle of the pack, gained position five wide through the far turn, steadied at the eighth pole. CAJUN MOVIESTAR broke the gate before the start but was held in place by the assistant starter, sat behind the pace between rivals, took to the inside at the three sixteenths but flattened out. REACH FOR THE ACES moved up before the first turn to prompt the pace three wide, took a brief lead entering the far turn before giving way to VICTORY PRINCE, weakened in the stretch. WHO IS CHIEF tracked the early pace from the inside, backed off in the far turn, made no progress in the stretch. RESCUE SQUAD was steadied at the start, rushed to take the lead after the first turn, gave way at the three eighths, steadied at the quarter, trailed through the stretch. This race had a timing discrepancy or malfunction and was re-timed using video technology to arrive at the most accurate time.
