FILLIES AND MARES, FOUR YEARS OLD AND UPWARD. Free nomination by Sunday, January 28. $1,250 to enter. A supplemental nomination fee of $100 may be made prior to closing time of entries. After payment of 1% to all owners of horses finishing sixth throughl ast, 62% of the remaining purse shall be paid to the owner of the winner, 20% to second, 10% to third, 5% to fourth, and 3% to fifth. *(FTBOA offers $15,000 to the owners of a registered Florida-bred divided $8,000 to the winner, $5,000 to second, $2,000 to third). Weight: 123 lbs. Non-winners of a graded stakes since July 1 allowed 3 lbs.; a stakes race since April 1, or three races other than maiden, claiming, starter or state bred allowance, 5 lbs. Starters to be named by usual time of closing. Allfee s shall be paid prior to the start of the race. Preference will be given to stakes winners in 2024-25, stakes placed in 2024-25, then by highest career earnings. Trophy to the winning owner. EPONA'S HOPE set a clear pace along the rail, held clear to deep stretch and dug in to just last. JUST A CARE (IRE) raced off the pace four wide, continued on the left lead in the lane, rallied and just missed. KARAYA raced off the pace two wide and rallied for the show. WEEKEND RAGS raced well back three wide, swung six wide in upper stretch and rallied belatedly. SINEAD was bumped between foes at the start, trailed two wide, swung seven wide in upper stretch and finished well. FREEDOM SPEAKS bumped at the start, saved ground off the pace, made progress inside, angled three wide near the sixteenth pole and gained late. BEAUTY OF THE SEA chased the pace three wide and faded in the lane. SHOSHANAH bumped at the start, prompted the winner two wide and weakened in the lane. BLIND SPOT had only brief speed inside.
