FIRST SHOT FIRED raced off the pace three and four wide, closed outside, was up near the sixteenth pole and powered clear. BOURBON OUTLAW bumped at the start, raced in range two wide, bid three wide between foes around the far turn, turned for home on even terms, battled on inside, was unable to match strides with the winner late but won the place duel. DE LA CALLES settled off the early pace while racing three wide, advanced four wide around the far turn, took the lead near the quarter pole, led to the sixteenth marker and was outfinished for the place. FREDERICKSBURG veered in and bumped at the start, raced two wide in midpack, angled five wide in upper stretch and improved position. CRYPTONYM had his head turned at the start, trailed inside early, moved up three wide around the far turn, swung widest in upper stretch and passed tiring rivals. SMOOTH AN EASY saved ground off the pace, went four wide around the far turn, checked near the quarter pole and had no further bids. RAGS SPECIAL bumped at the start, steadied midway around the first turn, went five wide around the far turn and never threatened. DEVILMENT chased the pace inside and faded in the lane.
