LOOKIN FOR ROSES raced two wide in midpack, advanced four wide around the far turn, closed outside, seized command near the sixteenth pole and kicked clear. FIRST SHOT FIRED raced well back inside, moved up three wide around the far turn and finished well to gain the place. LINE ASTRAY saved ground off the early pace, went two wide around the far turn and ran on for the show. CRYPTO MAN settled off the early pace two wide, bid two deep rounding the far turn, took the lead approaching the quarter pole, led to the sixteenth marker and weakened. MOONRISE DRIVE was outrun while racing two wide. KUWAIT TOWERS saved ground off the pace, checked off heels midway around the far turn and never threatened. LITTLE STEVEN prompted the pace in the three path, took the lead early on the far turn but faltered nearing the lane. LOU THE BODY played no factor while racing three and four wide. TIZ THE COAST set the pace in the two path and retreated inside around the far turn. CARLIN CLAN tried to break through the gate prior to the start and was still firmly in the assistant starter's grasp when the gate did open, broke far behind the field and trailed throughout. FOLLOWING AN INQUIRY INTO THE START, THE STEWARDS DECLARED CARLIN CLAN A NON-STARTER.
