Footnotes
PATTY'S HAVING FUN pressed the pace on the outside up the backstretch, saved ground around the bend, kicked clear entering the stretch and held that margin to the wire. IT'S ONLY WORDS raced off the pace early, began a bid from the four path coming around the turn and improved position in the stretch. SUGAR TREAT chased the leader on the inside up the backstretch, navigated the turn from the two path and kept on to the finish. MAMA MARIA led the way on the inside through the opening quarter, continued around the turn in the two path and weakened in the lane. WEST BANK tracked the leaders on the outside up the backstretch, dropped back while racing in the three and four path around the bend and continued to tire in the stretch.
