A. P. KID raced in the two path around the first turn, chased the leader on the outside up the backstretch, began a bid from the two path coming around the far turn and kicked clear in the lane. GOLDEN CHANNEL raced in the three path around the first turn, stalked the pace setter on the outside up the backstretch, came around the far turn still in the three path and improved position in late stretch. THIRTEEN COLONIES bumped with the horses to either side leaving the gate, raced in the three path early, settled in the middle of the pack on the outside for the run up the backstretch, swung out to the four path coming around the second turn, began a bid entering the stretch and gained ground late. DAWN DRAGON bumped with the horses to her inside at the start, raced in the two path around the first bend, settled in the middle of the pack on the inside for the run up the backstretch, began to move up while racing in the five path around the second turn and gained ground late. BUZZ ROCKET bumped mildly with the horse to his outside leaving the gate, raced in the two path around the first turn, continued up the backstretch off the pace, came around the far bend in the four path and improved position in the lane. GRIM REAPER raced in the two path early, tracked the leader on the inside up the backstretch, continued around the far turn still in the two path and weakened in the stretch. HOPE'S ALIVE saved ground around the first turn, opened up on the field racing up the backstretch, dueled while saving ground around the far turn and faded in the lane. MOREPERFECTUNION saved ground early, tracked the leader on the inside up the backstretch, dropped back while racing in the two path around the far turn and tired in the lane. WEAPONIZED saved ground at the back of the pack through the opening half mile, continued to save ground far back coming around the second turn and was empty in the stretch. MCCORVEY saved ground the entire way around the oval, trailing far behind the field throughout and was never a factor.
