EXPECT THE BEST prompted the pace in the five path, was driven in the four path around the turn, bid passing the quarter, floated out to the six path turning into the lane, stayed on to lead just after the eighth pole, and held sway. GETTIN' THERE pressed the pace in the four path, bid in the three path around the turn, briefly led passing the quarter, lost the lead at the top of the stretch, but ran on to secure place. MISSPENT YOUTH chased in the three path, was driven in the four path around the turn, angled out to the seven path turning into the lane, and kept on for show. KEEP ON MOVING stalked in the six path, bid in the five path. passing the quarter, took the lead while being floated out to the seven path turning into the stretch, but faded in the final furlong. HOW ABOUT IT set the pace in the two path, was ridden around the turn, lost the lead just before the quarter, and yielded in the stretch. THREE LITTLE BIRDS rated inside but never menaced.
