NYFIVE dictated the terms of the race under little pressure from the competition, began pulling away in the far turn and upper stretch, switched back to the left lead for the final sixteenth and geared down late, much the best. NEW LIFE chased the pace from the two path, no match for the winner, clear of the rest for the place honors. SMILING ROSIE found a forward position along the inside, backed off the pace through the far turn, found a second wind to rally along the inside of the upper stretch to reclaim lost positions for the show award. NOCHE DE DAMAS settled off the pace, split runners in the far turn and took aim at the top two entering the stretch but came up empty and flattened out. STELLA BIONDA settled off the pace between rivals, took towards the outside of the stretch to make some minor improvements. ONLY YOU tracked the pace four wide, faded down the stretch. STEEL CITY LADY trailed for most, no factor. SWING ROUTE raced off the pace three wide, trailed at the quarter, made no impact.
