ALINAO FOREVER opted to be the early trailer, made steady progress along the outside while travelling up the backstretch, vied for command three wide through the far turn and took charge at the quarter, kicked away from the rest while holding ALWAYS TRUE at bay. ALWAYS TRUE was rated along the inside, cued four wide through the far turn, entered the stretch chasing the leader but was held at bay, clearly second best. BACKDOOR ROYALTY set a pressured pace from along the inside, vied for command with GUYS TRIP while travelling up the backstretch, shook that one off approaching the far turn before meeting a bids from two more, conceded the lead at the quarter and flattened out. GUYS TRIP pressed the pace from the two path in the early stages, opted to vie for command up the backstretch, backed off the pace through the far turn, made minor improvements along the inside of the stretch. MALCOLM X (PER) was rated three wide, moved up to stalk the pace between runners in the far turn, backed off to trail by the quarter, passed tired foe. MESSAGE OF HOPE (IRE) chased the vying leaders between foes, moved up to make a three wide bid entering the far turn, faded down the stretch.
