Footnotes
NATIONAL SECRET led the way up the backstretch, continued around the turn in the two path and held clear while drifting mildly in the stretch. LIVE TO RIDE (GB) tracked the leader between horses early, navigated the bend from the three path and improved position in the lane. EASTERN EXTENSION (IRE) chased the leader on the inside through the opening quarter, saved ground around the turn and kept on to the finish. DEPUTY TRAMON raced off the pace up the backstretch, came around the turn in the two path and improved position mildly in the stretch. SPIT THE BIT stalked the pace setter on outside up the backstretch, saved ground around the turn and faded in the lane. DOUBLE EIGHT hit the gate hard leaving it, was shuffled back to race off the pace through the opening stages, continued around the turn in the three path and made no bid.
