Footnotes
MISS OCALA settled at the back inside, bided time up the backstretch, moved out will beginning to advance on the far turn, fanned six wide coming to the top of the stretch, paused briefly in mid-stretch in behind runners, made a bold move between runners soon after to just get up in the shadow of the wire. MARABINA was a bit hard to control in the early going racing off the inside in the three to four path into and on the first turn, moved nearer the rail heading up the backstretch tracking in behind and off the leading pair, moved three to four wide on the far turn, bid between runners coming past the quarter pole, drifted out about seven wide coming into upper stretch then drifted back in regaining a narrow lead, appeared to wait in the late stages and was caught. NOT ONE LESS settled at the rear early while kept well off the rail racing three to five wide, shifted in leaving the first turn still racing well back up the backstretch, moved out on the far turn beginning to advance, fanned seven wide racing outside the eventual winner, kept on between runners late but needed more. ROGERS PARK went straight to the front to take the early lead, was prompted up the backstretch, regained command from the sparring partner but was soon overtaken by another foe, fought on in the lane but was simply outkicked. GUA SHA broke a step slowly, tucked in early saving ground at the rear into the first turn, switched out on that bend, advanced outside four to five wide up the backstretch into the far turn, was carried eight deep by a drifting rival coming out of that bend but within striking distance, lacked the needed late kick. CALABASH COVE was caught wide early going about three to four deep, shifted nearer the rail up the backstretch, advanced inside foes into and early on the far turn, was guided out past the midpoint of that bend within range of the leaders and off the inside again, flattened out in the stretch. NVDIA was carried out by a rank rival on the first turn going four to five wide, continued to pursue the leading pair outside that foe in the second flight, steadily weakened. DREAM DIAMOND moved forward outside putting a head in front up the backstretch to force the pace, faltered and fdaed. ANNA JEAN failed to threaten while racing off the inside part of the track throughout.
