LINE ASTRAY well placed while saving ground early on, tracked two wide to the second turn then was boxed in at the quarter marker, angled five to six wide into the stretch, mounted a bold rally into the final furlong and surged in deep stretch to get up for the win. MY FAVORITE TOPIC forwardly placed in the early stages, stalked three wide to the second turn, vied for the lead four wide into the stretch, took a narrow lead and dug in into the final furlong, gamely held to deep stretch then was nailed for the win in the final strides and held well for the place. GUILDENSTERN (IRE) bumped at the start and off a bit slowly, settled between runners in the early stages, loomed four then five wide nearing the quarter marker, battled MY FAVORITE TOPIC into the stretch, dueled that foe to the final sixteenth and was denied for the place honors, while well clear of the rest for the show. DRUNKEN SAILOR tracked the early pace from the outside, lost position heading to the second turn, chased three to four wide into the lane and lacked the needed late response. LOOKIN FOR ROSES settled while saving ground in the early going, maintained a rail trip to the second turn and advanced nearing the quarter marker, chased from the inside into upper stretch then failed to sustain his bid in the final sixteenth. MY GREAT ILLUSION vied for the early lead then assumed command into the first turn, cleared into the backstretch and set modest fractions to the half-mile, showed the way to the quarter marker while under pressure, was overtaken into upper stretch and faded through the lane. CHARGE OFF traded bumps with GUILDENSTERN (IRE) leaving the start, settled outside of runners into the first turn, lost position along the backstretch then chased five wide along the second turn, ran in pursuit into the stretch then weakened in the late stages. PET MAT forwardly placed in the early stages, chased two wide and between runners into the far turn, raced in traffic into upper stretch then was shut off at the furlong marker and did not find the needed late response. READY TO REIGN close up in the early going, attended to the modest pace through the backstretch, pressed two wide to the quarter marker, got shuffled back while between runners into upper stretch then gave way in the drive. DOWNING STREET broke a bit awkwardly then was unhurried in the early going, trailed to the second turn and did not factor in the stretch drive.
