GREAT SHASHI was prominent early on, stalked the moderate pace up the backstretch then vied for the lead into the second turn, took command into upper stretch and was set down for the drive, dug in while under pressure into the final furlong, held off PASAJERA into the final sixteenth and kept to task in the late stages for a determined win. PASAJERA settled four wide into the first turn, stalked outside of rivals along the backstretch run, loomed three wide nearing the quarter marker, rallied and vied for the lead into the final furlong, was kept at bay into deep stretch and held safely at the wire for second. NANANANABOOBOO settled in the second flight and between runners, advanced along the backstretch then chased two wide and between foes nearing the quarter marker, ran in pursuit from the rail into the final furlong, was outkicked in deep stretch and held well late for third. BOMB SQUAD settled three wide in the early stages, chased two wide into the far turn, raced in traffic into upper stretch then found room into the final furlong, mounted a mild late rally and just missed for third. HITS DIFFERENT allowed to settle into the first turn, advanced while widest up the backstretch, chased four wide to the quarter marker, ran in pursuit five wide into the lane, could not sustain her run into the final sixteenth and flattened out late. R AWESOME SAUCE well placed while saving ground in the early stages, tracked from the rail heading to the second turn, lacked a response when called upon into upper stretch and weakened in the drive. GOOD BRIGHT FLAMES sent to assume early command, set a moderate pace to the half-mile marker then came under pressure heading to the second turn, dueled GREAT SHASHI to the quarter pole, could not keep pace into upper stretch then faded in the final furlong. MAMUKA lacked early speed, trailed to the second turn then did not factor in the stretch drive.
