Footnotes
SECRET EMPIRE off step slow, rushed three wide into the turn, took command and led to upper stretch, dug in through the lane and determinedly held for the win. ALARIK (CHI) showed speed and set the pace into the turn, overtaken to upper stretch, fought on through the lane, was held at bay in deep stretch and was well clear of the rest for a game runner-up effort. SAINT NO MORE close up to the early pace, pressed between two wide to quarter pole, yielded into the stretch but stayed on to be a clear third. DON'T ANSWER broke well then took back, chased four to five wide to upper stretch, no final kick. SIGRUN FAST BOY forward early, took back, coaxed two wide upper, no threat late. KALINBA settled, saved ground to stretch, no late rally. SWEN tracked between two to three wide, gave way five-sixteenths. CHARGE OFF chased inside, angled four wide quarter, tired stretch.
