KNOTY KNICKS close up in the early going, saved ground up the backstretch, angled out and bid three wide at the quarter marker, vied for the lead into upper stretch, took command into the final furlong, drew off into the final sixteenth and was ridden out late as much the best. COACH KAIN settled while never far back, advanced two wide and between runners nearing the quarter marker, bid to mid-stretch, was no match late for the winner but outfinished the rest to earn the place honors. RAASIL settled three wide and between runners to the first turn, shifted out and raced widest up the backstretch, chased four wide to the quarter marker then ran in pursuit into the lane, needed more in the late stages and was outfinished for second, while holding safely for third. RAWAYANA was close up in the early stages, attended to the pace three deep heading into the backstretch, gave chase into the second turn, could not keep pace nearing the quarter pole and gave way in the stretch. HARD STORM sent for the early lead, set a modest pace to the far turn, overtaken nearing the furlong marker, chased to the final sixteenth and faded late. WIN WINNIE WIN off slow to begin, recovered and advanced between rivals into the backstretch, chased two wide into the far turn then could not muster a response in the late stages. BLACKMAIL settled in the early stages, saved ground to the far turn then did not threaten in the stretch drive. CHINGU settled along the rail heading into the first turn, was well placed to the half-mile marker, chased to the quarter pole, could not find a response to upper stretch then tired in the drive. ANTONINO rated off of the early pace, saved ground to the far turn, lacked a response nearing the quarter marker and did not factor in the drive. PRINCIPOTE settled off of the early pace, was wide along the backstretch, lost position into the far turn and did not make a late impact. BRENTWOOD broke slowly, lacked early speed and trailed throughout.
