Footnotes
LE AMAZONIA rated nicely off of the early pace, loomed three wide nearing the quarter marker, took command to upper stretch, drew away through the lane and was kept to task in the final sixteenth. ROYALLY BLUE squeezed at the start and off a bit slowly, advanced two then three wide and between rivals nearing the quarter pole, angled five wide for the stretch drive, could not make headway on the winner into the final furlong and held safely at the finish for second. GRANKA settled in the early stages, advanced three then four wide leaving the quarter marker, split rivals into the final furlong, was outkicked in the final sixteenth and held for third. THE DOVE RULES a step slow leaving the start, lacked early speed and trailed into the turn, swung six to seven wide for the stretch drive, could not find the needed late response and passed tiring rivals. LOVE ACTUALLY close up in the early going, checked when put in tight approaching the turn, stalked from the inside nearing the quarter marker, got caught a bit in tight into upper stretch then gave way in the drive. BREEZEY Z vied for the early lead from between runners, stalked the pace two wide to the quarter marker, chased three wide into the stretch and tired in the late stages. CHECK THE GRADE broke alertly, showed good early speed and set the pace up the backstretch, drifted over a path approaching the turn then dictated terms heading to the quarter marker, was overtaken to upper stretch and came up empty in the final furlong.
