KATE THE SMATE showed good speed and was prominent early on, attended to the decent pace two wide into the turn, pressed two to three wide to the quarter marker then vied for the lead to upper stretch, battled GIGI CAKE'S into the final furlong, took command to the final sixteenth and held well late for the win. THE PACKAGE settled in the second flight early on, chased the decent pace two wide and between foes into the turn, tipped three to four wide for the stretch drive, was gaining late and missed for the win, while holding for second. HOT COCOA settled in the early stages, got to the rail and saved ground into the turn, waited for racing room while in traffic at the quarter pole, worked to the outside and angled three to four wide for the stretch drive, closed willingly in deep stretch and missed for the place honors, while getting up in time for the show. GIGI CAKE'S broke alertly, showed good speed away from the start and took early command, set a solid pace to the turn, was confronted into the bend by KATE THE SMATE, met that rivals bid to upper stretch and battled into the final furlong, could not hold off oncoming rivals into the final sixteenth and yielded in deep stretch. LITTLE GUSSIE settled off of the decent early pace, chased three wide into the turn, navigated traffic to upper stretch then swung five wide for the drive, made a good late run but could not reel in the leaders in deep stretch. LOOKS TO KILL settled early on while not far back, tracked the decent pace four wide to the quarter marker, spun six wide for the stretch drive and could not muster the needed late response. MUSICAL POWER raced up close to the decent early pace, stalked three wide into the turn and was well placed nearing the quarter pole, chased five wide into upper stretch and flattened out in the final sixteenth. SHESA MISCHIEFLADY hustled for early speed, chased the decent pace from the inside heading into the turn, ran in pursuit while saving ground nearing the top of the lane, could not find a response at the furlong grounds and weakened late.
