NIC'S BRO disputed the early pace from outside of rivals, pressed the pace three then two wide into the turn, drew to even terms with RETAINED into upper stretch, dueled that game rival to the final sixteenth, took a narrow lead in deep stretch and held late for a determined win. RETAINED contested the early pace from inside, met the bid of NIC'S BRO nearing the quarter marker and dueled inside of that rival into the stretch, fought gamely to the final sixteenth, was bested in deep stretch and held safely at the wire for second. SANTO DIOS (ARG) settled off of the solid early pace, saved ground into the turn then was caught in traffic nearing the quarter marker, angled three wide to upper stretch, was gaining in the final sixteenth and got up in time for third. IF NOT FOR LUCK settled off of the early pace, was caught in tight between foes and steadied approaching the turn, got shuffled along the bend then was steered to the rail to upper stretch, closed willingly along the fence into the final furlong and just missed for third. SULTAN THE GREAT was squeezed at the start and off a bit slowly, settled off of the early pace, coaxed four then three wide into the turn then swung five wide for the stretch drive, made a mild late bid but needed more in the late stages. TAP GOLD was prominent early on, disputed the early pace two wide and between rivals, pressed into the turn then lost position nearing the quarter marker, chased into upper stretch and weakened in the final stages. COSMIC SPECULATION chased the early pace from between rivals, got to the rail entering the turn and ran in pursuit to the quarter marker, could not find the needed response into upper stretch and yielded in the drive. REVEREND MOON broke out at the start, bothered a neighboring rival and was off a step slowly, tracked the early pace from between rivals, chased three then four wide into the turn, ran in pursuit to upper stretch, could not keep pace into the final furlong and gave way late. MY SEA COTTAGE (IRE) tracked the early pace two wide and between rivals, ran in pursuit to the quarter pole, could not match strides with the leaders nearing the furlong grounds and tired in the late stages.
