Footnotes
BACK EM UP prominent in the early running, pressed the pace from outside of FEELING MACHO heading to the turn, took the lead from that rival midway through the bend then kicked to a clear lead to upper stretch, drew off under steady urging into the final furlong and was geared down in the late stages to win as much the best. TIGRE tracked the early pace from the inside, shifted to the two path to upper stretch and ran in pursuit to the furlong marker, was no match for the winner into the final sixteenth and outfinished the rest to earn the place honors. TO THE EASTSIDE off a bit slowly and allowed to settle early on, advanced three to four wide nearing the quarter marker, chased into the stretch, just missed for second at the wire and was a clear third. FEELING MACHO hustled for the early lead, assumed command and set a pressured pace to the turn, was overtaken by the winner midway through the bend, chased BACK EM UP into the stretch, could not find more into the final furlong and gave way in the drive. EL GUTY tracked the early pace from outside of rivals, chased three wide into the turn, was outrun to the quarter marker and tired in the stretch drive.
