DITCHED settled while saving ground into the first turn, unhurried while not far back nearing the half-mile point, angled three then four wide along the far turn and loomed to upper stretch, rallied and drew to even terms with SEEKING A PRAYER into the final sixteenth, surged in deep stretch and held off his stablemate in the final strides to prevail. SEEKING A PRAYER contested the early pace from the inside, ceded the front to BAL DE MAR and stalked into the first turn, tracked the loose leader along the backstretch, was roused to the far turn then vied for the lead at the quarter pole, took a narrow lead nearing the furlong marker and met the bid of DITCHED into the final sixteenth, was bested in the final strides and was clear of the rest for second. BAL DE MAR showed good early speed and took command into the first turn, made his own pace while carving out a solid pace approaching the half-mile marker, led to the quarter pole then was confronted to upper stretch, yielded to the top pair into the final furlong and held for third at the wire. WORTH CONSIDERING settled in the second flight to begin, tracked the solid pace three deep along the backstretch, gave chase into the second turn, ran in pursuit two wide into the stretch, was outkicked in the final sixteenth and just missed late for third. APPLE SHAKE SHAKE settled off of the early pace while never far back, saved ground to the second turn, angled three wide for the stretch drive, needed more in the late stages and finished evenly. POCKET PAIR allowed to settle, saved all of the ground to the far turn and did not rally late. ATTENDING unhurried in the early going, coaxed three to four wide into the far turn, no threat late. PRINCESS IRENE was well placed in the early stages, tracked the solid pace while saving ground along the backstretch, chased from the rail nearing the quarter marker, ran in pursuit to the furlong marker then gave way in the final stages. CORONA PRINCESS came under a snug early hold and settled three wide to the first turn, raced widest along the backstretch run, trailed into the second turn then did not factor in the stretch.
